Lee Ann Necessary

EXECUTIVE PRODUCER & HOST

Lee Ann Necessary is a former television news anchor and award-winning broadcast journalist who reported regional and political news from Bristol, Tennessee, to Roanoke, Virginia, to Capitol Hill.

Lee Ann loves meeting new people, learning about their journeys, and sharing their stories. In the past few years, Lee Ann has worked with various local non-profits — producing testimonial videos, organizing media/marketing projects and chairing fundraising events.

Working alongside these organizations, Lee Ann is aware that some of the amazing stories and efforts to tackle tough issues don’t always receive the media attention they deserve.

And that’s where We're Good comes in! Using her media background, Lee Ann and her team of producers are highlighting and sharing the stories and journeys of those doing amazing work in this region and bringing about positive change in the world.

Mary Ellen Chandler

SVP, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND MARKETING

Mary Ellen Chandler currently serves as Senior Director of Corporate Engagement at Year Up United, a national nonprofit that ensures young adults have the skills, experiences, and support to achieve their full potential in their careers.

Mary Ellen’s path began with a career in International Business at Tiffany & Co. in New York, where she managed international expansion for Tiffany & Co. in Europe, the Middle East, and the Asia Pacific markets. After moving to Washington, D.C., in 1998 to be closer to family, Mary Ellen realized one of the largest industries was the nonprofit sector, representing a multitude of compelling causes and great needs. She shifted gears and has spent most of her career helping grow nonprofits through fundraising and communications.

And that’s where We're Good comes in! Already immersed in the nonprofit world, Mary Ellen wanted to find a way to highlight the good these organizations are doing. One conversation led to another, and she teamed up with Lee Ann Necessary and Tanya La Force to create We're Good—to celebrate and highlight the everyday brilliance of those making a difference in various parts of our region and world.

Tanya La Force

PRESIDENT

Tanya La Force began her career in business and finance for Fortune 100 companies and quickly rose to become a finance executive managing complex businesses and transactions. For the past twenty years, she has used her business acumen to help nonprofits achieve their missions through better operations, strategies and fundraising.

Tanya has served in a range of positions and organizations, from volunteer to executive, donor to fundraiser, and startups to national nonprofits. She's helped organizations build capacity and raise millions of dollars by combining clear visions with effective storytelling. At the heart of her work is a passion for being a part of the solution.

Tanya believes that too much attention is given to what is wrong in our society, yet there are 13 million mission-driven Americans working in the nonprofit sector and another 60 million volunteers selflessly helping others. We're Good was founded to elevate these stories and inspire others to share the good.
